We know women have unique health concerns and we strive to provide you with the health information you need. We also encourage you to practice healthy lifestyle behaviors to help you feel good and avoid problems down the road. Use some of the resources here to increase your knowledge and become empowered about your health! Check with your doctor to make sure you are up to date on all your screenings and immunizations.

  • Don't forget colorectal health -- All women should have colorectal cancer screenings after age 50, sometimes earlier if you have risk factors.

For Women Only

  • Breast Health -- Early detection for breast cancer starts with you. It's as easy as 1-2-3.
    • All women should perform a monthly breast self-exam. View animated instructions on how to do this exam easily and accurately.
    • All women should receive yearly clinical breast exams from their health care providers.
    • Women age 40 and older should have mammograms every 1-2 years. Just get a referral from your personal physician and receive your mammogram at a network mammography facility.
  • Cervical Health -- Cervical cancer is one of the most common female cancers. It's also one of the most treatable, when detected early! All women ages 18 and older should have a yearly Pap smear for early detection of cervical cancer.
