Back Care

Great Expectations^® Back Care was created to help members with back pain that may be keeping them from completing daily tasks, being active or just fully enjoying life. This new BlueChoice HealthPlan program provides educational tools and support. We want to help members take care of their backs!

To manage back pain, members are sent a "Back to Basics" packet, which includes:

• Educational materials to help them understand their back pain
• Strengthening and stretching exercises to help prevent future problems
• A Back Care assessment to take to the doctor 
• Additional resources to contact for further information and support

Members with chronic back pain will be considered for case management. Our highly skilled and experienced case managers work with members to assess needs and treatment options, coordinate services and assist in helping them understand medical and pharmacy benefits.

All of these benefits are available to BlueChoice HealthPlan members at no additional cost. There are no hidden charges, fees or copayments.
