Maternity Assistance
Maternity Assistance
Having a baby changes everything. Whether this is your first baby or you’re an experienced pro, having a baby is an exciting time. We want you to feel supported every step of the way. That’s why we offer our maternity management program. When you enroll, you’ll have access to a personal care manager who can support you along the way. Our case managers are kind, caring advocates for you and your baby. They are here to help!
- Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy
- Keep your prenatal visits and testing appointments. We can help you find an in-network provider near you.
- Keep in contact with your prenatal and postpartum providers. It’s important to stay on top of chronic conditions or issues that come up during and after pregnancy.
- Keep up with prescribed medication and manage conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
- Avoid harmful substances such as alcohol, tobacco and recreational drugs. These can increase the risk of complications. Work with your provider if you need help with any of these substances.
- Practice stress management and get mental health help if needed. High stress levels, anxiety and depression can take a toll on you and your baby. Talk to your provider or case manager to get the help you need. You are not alone.
- Eat a healthy, nutrient-rich diet and stay as active as you can. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins helps ensure you are getting enough iron, calcium and other essential nutrients.
- Stay up to date on your vaccinations to protect you and your baby against infections.
