Opioids can be very effective when you’re in pain. They’re also highly addictive. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says opioid dependency can begin within three days of taking the drugs. The CDC is an independent organization that provides health information on behalf of BlueChoice HealthPlan.
