Claim Numbers with Blank Spaces

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and BlueChoice HealthPlan encountered a system issue for claims submitted between Jan. 1, 2018 and Jan. 2, 2018 which caused claim numbers to be generated with blank spaces in the third and fourth byte positions (i.e., 82  0XGGG0000). This issue did not impact the processing of the claims; only the claim numbers assigned. 

You can use My Insurance ManagerSM to obtain claim status details for these claims. In the Claim Status feature, use the member ID and the date of service to locate the claim.
