Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence

Virtual doctors' visits and emergency prescription refills available to BlueChoice HealthPlan of South Carolina members.

Virtual Visits Available 24/7 to All Impacted Areas

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, Blue CareOnDemand is offering access to general medical care at no cost to residents of the zones impacted by Hurricane Florence.

If your doctor’s office is closed or you’re away from home, Blue CareOnDemand virtual visits are a great option for non-emergency health issues. Through a video chat, you can talk to a doctor about issues like cold and flu symptoms, allergies, sinus infections, migraines, rashes, urinary tract infections, pinkeye and more. The doctor can even call a prescription in to the pharmacy nearest you if appropriate.

Go to www.BlueCareOnDemandSC.com to have a video visit at no cost. If you are using a mobile device, you will be instructed to download the mobile app. Log in or register for your Blue CareOnDemand account, then select the Hurricane Support option to start your visit.

For emergency medical issues, please dial 911.

30-Day Emergency Prescription Refills

If a state of emergency has been declared for your area, CVS Caremark can approve a one-time emergency refill for a 30-day supply of medication. We recommend contacting CVS Customer Care at 888-963-7290 to request approval for your medication(s) before visiting your local pharmacy. Alternate delivery arrangements may be available to those taking specialty medications.

CVS Caremark is an independent company that provides pharmacy benefits management on behalf of BlueChoice®.
